Hi guys..just purchased an Aurender N10 and now looking for a dac. Currently have the loan of a CEC cd/dac combo but interested in other suggestions. The Matrix S Sabre dac reviews nicely. Thank you in advance.

The Topping D30 sounds great as well as being cheap!

Looking to try a Matrix dac next week which Im looking forward to. I think the only priviso that I have set for myself is Im not interested in an a cheap item. Ok theres cheaper and well priced unuts I accept that. BUT things are cheeeeeap for a reason! Well thats how I compute things.

Last year I purchased a dac from colinf and wrote a review of sorts. You will find it further down under the title Braunton Audio Dac. I sold my AMR CD77 not long after.

Thanks Rocl. There’s one of my dacs in stock at HiFi Exchange in Melbourne if interested. It uses a Soekris R-2R dac so doesn’t need an output stage, so is relatively small.

Aurender is on its way to its new keeper in Ireland.
Im now using a NUC, dedicated power supply and the Sabre dac. Had the Sabre dac originally anyway. NUC and the power supply tipped the scales at about $450 so a LONG way off the cost of the Aurender. Using Roon and Qobuz. VERY happy with the results. The Roon ap is extremely easy and user friendly to use and I highly recommend it! Streaming has opened my eyes/ears to a mass of music that I would never have known about. No more buying stuff I dont like and having to be annoyed about it...yee ha to that!!
