This may yet be an exciting development... And I've been accused of being a digiphobe on more than one occasion...

It may be flash and tech-anogical, but the pricing is off the wall. And it's that kind of story/pricing that alienates regular folk, putting them off high-end audio altogether.
I'd rather see stories in the media about technology that gives an inkling of the high-end sound without it being stupidly unattainable. Who wants to spend the equivalent of a decent vehicle on an amp? About a handful or so in NZ.
And there are certainly firms doing that (producing product that's sound and doesn't cost the earth) but the public never gets to hear about them because they (and their products) generally aren't flashy.

Hi Luigi,
In terms of pricing it all comes down to priorities doesn't it? To paraphrase your question: Who wants to spend the equivalent of a decent amp on a motorbike ? Going by your Avatar, at least you ! If I had the spare dosh then I would be spending it elsewhere, but judging from the amount of flash motorcycles, boats and RVs I see about i'm solidly in the minority. NB Saw a Vincent twin up here today, last one of those I saw for sale was 25K and that's definitely a discretionary purchase.
