There was a nice cd box set with the same records released in 2017 and it looks like this new vinyl set will use the same masters. No problems with the sound on that set. The collection doesn't include his last two studio releases which are not a great loss IMO.
If I had to cherry pick my favs they'd be Happy Sad and Blue Afternoon along with several live sets. I never quite got the attraction of Star Sailor, just a bit too avant garde for my tastes, while the first record has some promise, the 2nd ,Goodbye Hello, feels like the kitchen sink is being tossed in the mix at times and some rather painful lyrics viewed from a distance. Most of those songs sounded better for me in stripped back form on Dream Letter, Live in London.
