Lol thanks for the advice, but in all honesty I would have agreed not so long ago But since the M Scaler everything has changed, the M Scaler is seriously the most important component I have ever bought Seriously!

Looking through your LP collection I can see your reasoning for this: How the hell did you ever find what you wanted to listen to in that disgracefully organised lot ?

But if it satisfys your curiosity It was put on this rack as I cleared the room The intention was to scan the bar codes for discogs and then re-organise But then I decide to sell everything, is this reasoning OK for you!!!

Sounds like a ploy to sell more M-Scalers! Have you heard the M Scaler? Yes but on a system I didnāt know so couldnāt say accurately. So have to say not really. Although with the M Scaler on the Dave vs the Dave by itself on Abyss headphones I did notice a bit more depth and presence, and a lovely openness to the top end. Iād love to hear one in my own system.

Looking through your LP collection I can see your reasoning for this: How the hell did you ever find what you wanted to listen to in that disgracefully organised lot ? For years when I had several hundred albums I never had them in any particular order apart from roughly in order of when bought (and classical separate). I little bit of a pain if you were after a particular album but great for randomly rediscovering albums.

Citroen - you know of course that this method of ordering a collection is sometimes called "autiobiographical"
|
Post by Citroen on Jun 27, 2019 11:55:13 GMT 12
Wasn't really autobiographical, more practical. As although the new ones were added to the end of the pile where there was space, the listened to albums weren't necessarily put back were they originally came from. Could well be put back at the end, or wherever there was a gap.
So eventually the order became more random.

To me, it's not a case od A vs B. If Mr deano1974 enjoys employing digital music source, then an M-Scaler is probably a decent choice. Just send the record collection over to my place PS. I hope you have been using the Clearaudio Artist on the SME III with at least some fluid damping (otherwise bass performance likely will be sub-optimal).

Deano - any truth that you'll be moving to a bluetooth only system? Maybe something with a built in battery? I'm happy to swap a worn out UE Boom for your turntable and records... let me know if you're keen?

Hey Deano, Thinking on this one: shouldnt you really be looking to invest a similar amount of $ into you vinyl replay system so that you can demonstrate the differences between the 2 formats ? Surely by ditching vinyl you will be alienating a certain percentage of your clientale ? Just a thought.
Cheers

Wow! Just checked out the RRP for the Dave $18550 M Scaler $7699 Hugo TT2 $8799 According to the obviously correct interweb , the M Scaler elevates the TT2 combo to near Dave like performance. With the Scaler added to Dave benefiting but not as much as when added to the TT2. Which seems to be what you would reasonably expect. Dave + Hugo cf a $27,000 vinyl setup? Now that would be something I'd like to hear!

Cheers Yep agreed but we have vinyl systems and chord systems at rapallo so can demonstrate both for clientele to see what they prefer We never push anyone into any format, be it vinyl or digital, they can decide what they prefer, end of the day everyone hears differently Its just personal taste and for me the Chord system is everything I want from my music, As I said if any one wants to have a demo/listen to confirm if I'm going nuts or not then your all welcome Cheers The vinyl system for sale is my own

Yes absolutely lol, Bluetooth is next for me and the reviews of the UE boom speak for themselves, but the turntable and records doesn't seem fair for the UE boom maybe I can chuck in some speakers to make it even
