I saw this on the big screen at the Arrowtown movie theatre recently.
A worthwhile story/journey empathetically captured, imho.
Sent me into my record collection for some immersive listening sessions. Incl. these, that would be included in my 'all-time' unforgettable songs:
- the classic
- the classic mk.ii
Truly wonderful and even more appreciated now, given the backdrop for their composition.
"I see music as a lifetime affair." [Rory Gallagher]
"Free - I miss that band, but when I look back, we were very young" [Paul Rodgers]

Was at Rialto Cinemas about a month ago for a screening of a Slim Aarons documentary for the Architecture Design Film Festival and noticed with a very pleasant surprise the promo for this, and then promptly forgot all about it! Pink Frost was the song that first drew my attention to the Chills, or maybe it was Rolling Moon. Snow Bound is a good return to a happier pop sensation. It seems more resolved and complete than Silver Bullets (which I was a bit disappointed in and soon forgot).

Saw his exhibition at the Otago Museum last year. An eclectic collection of memorabilia. I had no idea about it until I was visiting the University bookshop with my son and he pointed it out across the street. Tucked away I have a couple of lps purchased many, many years ago from Rhino Records in Timaru with the name Martin Phillips written in ballpoint on the inside of the sleeve. Always wondered if these came from his collection at some time. Only one that springs to mind right now is California by American Music Club.
