Hi I am looking to change direction with my amplification. I have a wonderful set of ASL 845 mono blocks to trade. These amazing amps are recently re-tubed & fully serviced. Happy to trade with $$ either way. What you got? Cheers image uploading website

How large an amp do you need? The JBL L300 Summit specifs say (I think, but you will be able to confirm) - " 1 Watt input produces 80dB Sound Pressure Level at a distance of 15' " Assuming that's for one l'spkr (without any wall-proximity reinforcement), it means that the L300s are ~93dB/W/1m Sensitivity. 2 spkrs will give you 83dB average SPL which is LOUD. But let's say you desire insane 86dB av SPLs & power reserve for say 96dB peaks..... Then you might need all of 20 Watts/ch amp power. OK, something like an all-Class A Pure Audio DUO wouldn't break into a sweat, even on a Hula night. One of Gary's dealers should be able to cut a fair trade-in deal for one of us boys. And would look stealth in black next to the L300s Black Reference 2 Monos ea side of course, would really be 'end-game'. However just a suggestion, it doesn't mean you shouldn't go out & get yourself a Muscle-amp

Thanks Owen - just checked & my base level listening is about 80db & up from there. Haha I guess I have had way efficient (100db or so) speakers for a while & now have to crank the pre up a bit more than I used to. Wondering if more power will help? Man they would be nice & they would look spic against the L300's but I fear a bit rich for me. A trade would help
