My old HD 414s are of course needing new foam pads. I spotted these recently, seeming 'official' USA source, at US$6.81/pr (+ tax/shipping) much less than than usual ebay seller prices.

My 414SL's have gone through quite a few foam replacements. Last time I looked not only had the pads perished but my spare pads had dissolved too, so they are now not very comfortable!

On the other hand the Senn HD650's are so damn comfortable even my dog likes wearing them

I've had quite a few lower end in ear Sennheisers, on ear monitoring/DJ HD25-1 II (which were good sounding but not very comfortable), a couple of Momentum over ears and now use Momentum True Wireless.
Its a brand I enjoy a lot, except for their higher end models, which aren't to my taste.

Haha, where do you get your Senn foan pads from? I see that the above pr are 414 SLs. There were 1 or 2 iterations I think. And also the HD-424. Jeremy has a pr of HD25-1 IIs, as I recall, he replaced the cables, which did not survive the rigours of DJing. 10 million pairs of HD-414s sold!

My HD 414s, rather sad looking.... Actually, I see that these are HD 414X versions (I don't recall the difference).

my one and only sennheisers were a pair of the super cheap hd40 (?)
black plastic headband, yellow foam pads, cost about $40
great sound but didn't use them much as their 600ohm was not great when used with walkmans etc.
