Hi, I have accumulated over the years a big DVD collection (close to 3000 DVDs). I have digitized the pieces I’m interested in but generally I want to sell it, any idea on the best possible way? (Selling one by one on eBay sounds like a punishment to me). I thought of selling the most substantial on eBay (boxsets) and the rest to a local store here. Any thoughts are welcome!

I’ve read similar queries on several forums, and there is no easy answer. The 2nd hand market for DVDs is not very buoyant. You can buy them here in our thrift shops for around $2 each! I can only suggest sorting out the rarities, list them on eBay, and try to sell the rest in several bulk lots.

Thanks a lot sub! Hadn't thought the "rare" element, that's definitely something to get a bit more value out of. I'm also considering selling whole "themes" like my whole Studio Ghibli collection (snif), Kurosawa, etc.

Oh yes, we have discussed Studio Ghibli & Kurosawa here previously (in the AudioEnz days).

Oh yes, we have discussed Studio Ghibli & Kurosawa here previously (in the AudioEnz days). I will look it up! I'm up for anything Japanese, my favourite has to be Mizoguchi though.
