It seems like there's so many electrostatic headphones available these days.
STAX are still at the vanguard, but there's also QUAD, KOSS, MITCHELL & JOHNSON & HIFIMAN...
The Jade II is an update of their original Jade model introduced in 2008.
HiFiMan was founded by Chinese-American, Dr Fang Bian in NYC in 2007 & now HQ'ed in Tianjin, China.
Best known for their high-end Planar Magnetic (Susvara) & Electrostatic (Shangri-La) headphones.
The Jade II is relatively affordable (for an electratic system), at US$2499 incl the matching energiser-amplifier. (Or $1399 & $1599 separately.)
AudiophileStyle.com says:
"...With the introduction of the Jade II electrostatic headphone system from HiFiMan, the performance bar for high quality electrostatic headphones has been raised and simultaneously, the price bar has been lowered. "
