And it sounds sublime but 16 turns of the volume dial from 0 to loud might be a little extreme

no, the remote is a bit more normal although it is carved from a block of aluminium which might count...
Once you get used to the oddities of the interface it is a pleasure to use, just a bit confusing out of the box 🤔

No DAC or phono unfortunately but I am thinking about asking Terry at Audio Reference about the possibility of getting hold of the DAC module as my next upgrade as long as the price isn't too scary.
