Looking in the long term among the projects I have on the to do list for this year is add another cartridge . At the moment I have a Dynavector XX2 and Hana SL stereo and an Audio Technica AT33 mono.
I'd like to stay with a LOMC if possible just for the ease of changing settings on the phono stage and stay below $2000.
One of the ranges I've been looking at is the Ortofon Quintets. Never had an Ortofon cart before and I'd be interested to hear how they'd compare to the two cartridges I currently own. Dont want anything that tends to emphasis the high end .
Both my currently carts run pretty quietly , even on fairly worn records, so any tendency to pick up surface noise is another negative.
Of course if any one can provide a highly convincing argument for a favourite MM then I could have my arm twisted.
