The 2mV high output models, connected to a MM phono stage, will get your signal level up to CD-source levels (around 2 Volts) - with no MC step up required & 47k ohms input should work fine with the higher coil impedance of the high output models. The Absolute Sound compared the 4 models in 2017.

I auditioned the EH (thanks cartridgeguy) when shopping for a new cart a couple of months ago. While it is significantly cheaper than the Ortofon 2M Black that I ended up buying it is not significantly inferior. It has a beguiling warmth and would be great for late night jazz listening. Brought the likes of Billie Holliday to seductive life. Just lacked the retrieval of inner detail that the 2M Black provides in spades.
