Darko reports again from IFA Berlin 2018 on the weekend:
Yet another (premium) ANC (Active Noise cancelling) headphone announced, but this time from venerable 94-year old German, family-owned company, Beyer Dynamic GmbH.
Their first ANC headphones feature:
- Price Euro399
- 24 hr battery with USB-C charging
- Advanced Bluetooth (AAC & aptX Low Latency)
- Ear-pad touch controls
- Auto-detect on/off when placed on/removed from, your head (similar to B&W PX ANC headphones)
However, the unique points of difference of the Lagoon ANC are:
1) 'Light Guide" inside the ear-cups which can indicate battery level & Bluetooth status.
2) MOSAYC sound personalisation based on either (i) a 'demographic' fit (your age) or (ii) a smartphone app personal hearing test which will allow the sound output to tailor to your hearing.
