You gotta regularly beat up that Completist inside you, cooksferry Actually this 4-LP early Blues collection 'curated' by the Stones may be worth getting. Apart from the US$70 for 5 x 10" LPs with art prints 'bookpack'.... There's 2 x US$30 for the 2 x 2LP volume set. Or just US16 for 2CDs. Not to mention the cover art by Ronnie Wood:

The 5 lp version is now on Amazon.com and UK. Cancelled my pre order with the Stones store and saved UK38 pounds in freight. Meant missing out on two bonus prints but I'll live with that.

Any word yet anywhere about mastering & vinyl production? ie. sound quality? No idea Owen. The last Robert Johnson reissue gathered universal praise and if similar mastering happens to these tracks the results will be pretty good. In the end it all comes back to sources and they may just gather up the latest issue from each artist and use that. As long as they're not no noised to death I remain hopeful. Looking on Amazon.com there's a couple of listings for the 5xlp set, the one I linked to earlier and another listed as an import version which looks to have a couple more art prints, 6 instead of 4. That one is US$12 more expensive. Looks more like the one on the Stones store. One thing that never changes with Amazon is general confusion with their listings. www.amazon.com/Confessin-Blues-Various-Artists/dp/B07GQ3KG2F/ref=pd_sbs_15_6?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07GQ3KG2F&pd_rd_r=bc111747-c0f4-11e8-ae31-There's about $1 difference right now between the set on USA and UK. I guess it'll come down to where the NZ dollar ends up around release date. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GQ3KG2F/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Can I pre-order one of your discounted sell-off of extra copies What's shipping like from Amazon.fr do you think? I think shipping is ok Owen. Don't think I've ordered anything from them before but have used Germany and Italy without any problems. A lot of the goods appear to come from a central European warehouse anyway. Freight is a little more expensive but they do remove tax so my order works out to 55Euro against US$77 which is about a NZ$20 saving. At this stage it looks like I'll cancel the USA and UK pre orders if nothing too drastic happens with our exchange rates. The US dollar seems to one most likely to keep dipping down.

My vinyl set shipped yesterday. Really looking forward to this one. A lot of new releases and reissues out this month and after some research I decided to cancel the Hendrix Electric Ladyland sets. Wasn't interested in bonus stuff and the quality of the included live concert isn't very good. A couple of years ago I gave away a few hundred cdrs of bootleg material for the reason that most of it was a one time listen, if that. One of the few artists that does have plenty of previously unreleased material available is Bob Dylan, but fan though I am, I'd have to draw a line at a complete cd full of Like a Rolling Stone takes.
To answer your shipping question earlier Owen it appears they use I-Parcel same as the UK branch. I've found I-Parcel to be pretty slow although there does appear to be an improvement in the last few months. We're still a few days later than you folks in the big smoke as internal freight is passed to Fastways.
