Chaps - can you explain a little more, how the posts 'have all changed order' in this thread? I can't immediately see an anomaly, it's chronological as usual?

In my Tapatalk this post of yours is number 22 followed by post 23 etc starting 3 days ago... So your post has appeared back in the timeline.

OK... I see no issue either on my desktop pc of on the mobile ph. So, appears to be a tapatalk issue - but a recent one. All or any other threads similarly affected?

An interesting development has me thinking, there's now a Linn Uphorik on TM. So, if I did decide to go one-box, this brings me towards a comparison with the Perreaux VP3. Both seem to be extremely similar in terms of features - if not identical. As a reminder, my end-use t/table (301) will comprise an arm with a LOMC cart and one for a HOMM, that having interchangeable 78 or microgroove headshells/stylii. So, as good as the Linn undoubtedly is, my current LP12 won't be my main table quite soon. Additionally, I don't even use a Linn cart with it. So the Linn-ness of it all may be lost on this set-up, despite it being a great piece of kit anyway. Currently, I own two Graham Slee stages, one MM and one MC - both with Slee's best PSUs. I like them ... but will I after hearing either the Perreaux or the Linn? Neither of which is possible without purchase.
I also have never used Linn's amplification so have no precedent or allegiance.
Will it still sound great with other carts down the track?
Is there a question here? If so, what is it??? So, pros/cons
Present Graham Slees It's incumbent and I like it. (Tick) Suits all my carts. (Tick)
It's two-box, two plug, getting older. (cross)
Perreaux
NZ-made and new. (Tick) One-box. (Tick)
Highly versatile. (Tick)
Linn One-box. (Tick) Highly versatile. (Tick) No other Linn amplification (??) Valued at many thousands when new (Tick)

Aw you guys, how am I supposed to make random high-end purchases with 3x sage advice like this?? TBH, I hadn't even thought about the Linn in my sleep so that must be a sign. And yes, I do like the Slees. Last trip to the UK, their engineer retro-fitted mono switches to both units. The result is that now, even after years of ownership, I'm having a fresh flush of component-romance with them. I didn't realise how often I would be using mono.
