Watches with interest. Hopefully they do progress to chrome .... I've enough Ferric to see me to my grave , but would definitely give one or two a nudge. Always preferred C-45's and C-90's.. as I mainly record LP's.. C-60's always seem to have a nuisance length left over. Nice bank of Akai's........

There's something nice & slick, compact & tactile about playing a cassette tape. I must say I still enjoy using my old cassette player, although not as often as I should, given that many of the recordings are irreplaceable.

Tape producer & expert, Carlos Gruzman, tests a newly developed Ferric Oxide cassette tape produced in France, from Mulann, the company who bought the BASF licences, equipment & formulas & who are already manufacturing new Reel-to-Reel tapes. (A lot of good geeky talk too, about Nakamichi, Tandberg & Revox cassette machines. parttimeaudiophile.com/2018/07/01/recording-the-masters-fox-c-60/

Great, cassette lives, yay! It might now be time to make a valve NAB-equalised tape head amp after all!
