Just last week I was searching through the stylus selection from Styli.co.nz/Surplustronics and spotted a generic replacement for the Shure V15iii/VN35E for the unbelievable price of only $24.50. Their usual generic replacement for this stylus is stock number N392 at around $75, but this one had stock number N392-K. I figured this must have been a mistake so gave them a call to learn that yep it was correct. No-one seemed to know where it had been sourced from or even what brand it was. For $24.50 I figured 'what the hell' so pounced on it ! It was in a completely plain blister pack with no ID what so ever. I installed in on my V15iii not expecting to be impressed but was blown away to discover it sounds as nice as my JICO stylus I'm still experimenting with tracking weight but it seems happiest at 1.5 grams. Bargain of the century !!!!!.

Sounded too good to be true so I had a look on their site - me no see. Saw the copy at $80, but no N392-k. For $25 I would give one a go too.

Now, if I could just find a similar bargain on a type IV replacement stylus...

Just had a listen. It certainly needs to track at 1.5 gms,the 1.25 gms I use for my Jico SAS doesn't cut it,mistracks a little.
The sound is marvelous for the price.Very listenable.Good for those noisy records that scare you if the best stylus is in!
Wondered why I spend money on better styli, until I put the SAS back in!

Hiya from a chilly Dunedin. New here, but I was on AudioEnz forums. Nice to see many of the same people on here. V15e: I bought a couple as well. Haven't played them yet, but they have a soldered tie wire (excellent) but looking through a loop I could not see any side cuts to make it into an elliptical. So maybe a conical? A v15g instead of a v15e then? Much less compliant then both my real Shure n35e with a finger push test. Anyone tested them on a Test record yet? Maybe could track up 1.8g or so?

I got one. Massive amounts of distortion at 1.25g, thought it may have been the cart so fitted my NOS Shure HE stylus and NO it's the stylus. Hence it's free to anyone here for the cost of postage.

I had the same happen here.Upped the tracking force to 1.5gm and it's miles better.
