interesting review, one of the few truly modular avr's ?
i looked at the smaller t776 v3 before buying my marantz sr6012.
the nad probably sounds but the paucity of hdmi inputs - a measly 4 ! - and the high price, ~$3k, pushed me in marantz' direction.
the new t777 v3 has 6 hdmi's which is still a bit light compared with other avrs but is an improvement.
one major point of difference is that nad uses dirac live for room correction whereas many avrs use audyssey.
i use my avr au naturel, all correction modes firmly off.
is dirac any better ?
the review casts doubt ...

One note about Dirac Live: I tried watching with and without correction and was surprised at how good things sounded with it off. I still prefer the assistance, especially for the bass but the T 777 V3 delivers an amazingly balanced sound all by itself. While I would normally use Dirac, this receiver doesn’t make it a must like other products I’ve heard.
