caveat emptor ? iirc a dl member bought a lenco (?) from the lister that didn't perform as well as it looked. That was me, it was unusable when I got it home. He takes great photos and provides a great write up but my particular purchase was far from how it was advertised. The L75 in question now resides with a mate of mine, the "custom plinth" fell apart 2 months ago. It wasn't glued together particularly well. The seller in question has a wicked stash of TT's, his pride of the fleet is a rather nice looking 401. Can't see the negative feedback warning us of this...

Negative feedback on Tm tends to be a double edged sword as the offender often leaves retaliatory negative feedback as well.

If you arent happy with any Tm purchase and have a legit reason, open a complaint form with Tm. They act on these pretty smartly. Sellers dont want to have their accounts closed by the admin staff at Tm especially if they are big sellers. Case and point.. Ive recently purchased a couple of fitness trackers from a large seller on Tm. They were rubbish. Wouldnt hold charge among other issues. After Tm got involved the seller couldnt be more helpful. Before that... we no refund you cos of mind change.....O how an email from Tm changes things!

I've been "told off" on a number of occasions by TM, usually regarding contact outside of TM, and to be honest its a bit like a slap on the hand with a wet bus ticket. You only need to look at the number of traders with high percentages and large numbers of negative feedbacks to know that the system doesnt work as intended.

You are correct, I never placed Negative feedback on the L75 transaction. All that would have happened is he would have posted bad feedback on me and my 100% Positive would have been tarnished. I'd still be left with an unusable TT. I just took it as an opportunity to pull it apart, learn how it works and get it going again. I've never had any luck dealing with the TM staff, as far as my experience goes they are completely useless.

I was blacklisted by a seller once (I complained to him that I was loathe to waste my time to return an item (vinyl record) by post as suggested, simply because he was too lazy to check & describe it accurately in the first place.)

I was blacklisted by "etone" many years ago, I think for making a comment on one auction, correcting his listing.
Shame, as there have been many times I've seen an LP that I would've bought from him.
