What a great looking thing, wonder what it sounds like ? Strange choice of phono loading options though ?

classical 70s/80s looks. great for fiddlers. horrid sound. sonic holography was more carver hocus pocus did nothing for good sound quality.
what strange phono loading ? adjustable capacitance was the norm back then. there's no visible sign of impedance adjustment.

0pf, 180pf, 390pf seems like unusual options to me ? Thanks for your comments re sound, saves me having a crack at it then.

those are capacitance options, mainly for moving magnet cartridges.
at the time carver was putting his sonic holography aka sonic holocaust circuit into all his amps.
there was even a stand alone unit.
