beautiful.
but sadly lacking functionality for a 21st century av system, it doesn't even have a multi-channel analogue audio input.
$2500 buy now ?

Well I'll be damned, it sold for $2120!
Way over what I was prepared to pay just to have the tuner.

I actually rarely listen to the radio at home, its more a work, car thing for me. But I do use an old TEAC TX550 I bought for $10 as my main radio source when at home.

I use this in preference to my Hitachi FT5500 Mk2 for two reasons. 1. The TEAC has a nice rich warm sound and 2. the Hitachi is black so didn't blend in with my other gear!

I should probably fire it up in the new system, but as I hardly ever listen to the radio at home maybe not. It will however be a better colour match to my McIntosh gear.

Gradually not becoming a McIntosh fan, as its done it again. It was a firmware problem and so it was upgraded to the latest version. Very happy with the service I got from the importer Soundgroup but not so happy that its happened again. So the Shanling is back on duty. Sad day @chez Citroen's McIntosh pre-amp stopped working, so thought oh well at least I have my Plinius 8150 which I kept as a back up. Hasn't been used for about a year but was working perfectly before then for many many years. Plugged it in and NOTHING. Fuse OK. When moving it I noticed a slight rattle inside, as if a small piece had broken off something, or maybe a dead roach... Have had to resort to using my bedroom system as a pre-amp.

Yes, back to Soundgroup. I wouldn't write off McIntosh reliability based on my one experience though, as frustrated as my lone voice may be at the moment!
