I had no problem shipping mine to Australia in cardboard boxes. Yours is a particularly fine example though Owen. What money are you thinking?

It was the last iteration of the Aura that Dave made, with 'intermediate flywheel', Pyrathane drive belts (& with Sorbothane discs + spring suspension). The flywheel was a significant advancement for the Aura, the mass & speed gearing greatly increasing rotational inertia, ie. pitch stability, bass, clarity. This Aura was made (for me) in around 1999-2000 & the motor-flywheel upgraded in 2003. It is the only Aura I've personally seen with Dave's 'signature' nameplate (below). The solid brass flywheel was a one-off - Dave decided that this material was too costly & reverted to chrome-plated steel flywheels. It comes with twin arm pillars, spare arm-boards & belts. $3,300 without tonearms. (DL Forum member price ) Shipping of course can be arranged, will need to be additional.

Hi Owen,
Seems like a very fair price to me for an iconic piece of audio history that is fully sorted. It is a wonderful sounding turntable & spectacular to see in operation I would recommend this to anyone wanting what was once described as the "best turntable in the world". The one on Ebay sold for $4,800NZD making this an even better buy ;-)

"The Best tt in the world." hehehe...it was/is, but isn't there always a claim for a newer and better mousetrap?

But most definitely not the "best turntable in the world"! but probably the best turntable in the world at NZ$3300! Owen Y I suggest you put it up on ebay and Audiogon for maximum potential buyers.

the comment was made when they were new & like any gear review should be taken with a grain of salt. That said I have owned a few turntables & the Aura stands out both in looks & SQ

Thanks Citroen, probably sound advice from a man with more TTs than most folks have footwear I will not likely be going for top price - a good enthusiast home & the least hassle, would suit.
