You'd think he'd replace his sons shitty little $50 record player . In a way that doesn't surprise me .From what I see and hear there's a lot, maybe a majority, of those buying lps who don't care too much about the quality of the delivery system.

Probably because they haven't heard any better or if they have, have decided that they cant afford the expense or effort of a better player. I have 3 sons: My eldest buys vinyl to display on the wall of his flat and doesn't have a turntable at all, my middle son has an SL1200 I bought him for his 21st but doesn't buy vinyl as its too expensive (he considers it a rip off...), my youngest works at JB Hifi, so sells vinyl but doesn't have any or a turntable. So even though all of them are keen music listeners none of it is on Vinyl.
