3) AdvertisementsOur forum here is a free, remotely-hosted forum - ie. it is not hosted on any of our personal ISP servers (because we do not want to fund the forum), it is hosted by ProBoards who provide this service & their forum software for free. ProBoards provide the largest, such free forum/message board hosting service I believe, however there are some considerations: - We do not have backup control of our forum data, so it could be lost - however ProBoards has been operating for over 12 years. - Advertising - the Terms of Service for this site, allow ProBoards to place advertisements on forum pages. They ask forum users to understand that these "are the means of revenue that allow your forum to be run completely free of charge", so you may receive requests to disable Adblocking software (for this site). - There is limited storage space (200MB) for image attachments - so a Plug-In has been installed which stores image attachments on a third-party image-hosting website (imgbb) - without storage limits at this time, as far as we know.

4) Taggingif you wish to "tag" someone, or mention them in a post so that they get a "notification" of the mention.... Click the icon button above the post box that shows the @ symbol next to a figure of a person. It's the 5th icon from the RH end. Click it and a box will open. Type the name of the member you want to tag and it will populate with their name before you finish typing. Click the name from the box and it will create a link to that member. Alternatively, you can place the @ symbol in front of a member's username, but it must be the username the member registered with - which may be different from their display name in some cases. It is easier sometimes if using a desktop computer instead of a mobile device - you can see it by hovering your mouse pointer over their name. After a few seconds a little box will show the @username.

There are a few instances where the @ tagging doesn't work - that's when the member's display name is different from their registered name. You have to use their name registered in their Profile in that case, if you know it.
