Pros:
- Zero Tracking Error
- Zero Skating side-force

Cons:
- Noise (pump noise with air-bearing type linear trackers, typically requiring remote pump location).
- Dust (can be a problem with some air-bearing types, although I have not experienced this).
- Short arm wand, typical of linear trackers, can make the tonearm more sensitive to VTA variation.
- Cost? (the cheapest commercially available linear tracking tonearm I know of is US$640 (with air-pump, the Adanalog MG-1)

Emminent Technology ET1 is the one I remember seeing about mid 90's. I liked the looks and sound of it but didn't see how I could easily mount one on my deck. ( The answer to that question is that NO Tonearm is easy to mount on my Deck.)

Very nice, the rumble would be almost non-existent with an air-bearing platter. Also very costly. Perhaps it could look nicer than an ordinary Rega?
