Looking through my archives, I find a number of images of old New Zealand audio equipment. I'll upload these over a period of time. Let me know what you remember of them.

First up is the Plinius IIb preamp and VII power amp combination - some of Palmerston North's finest, created by Tasmanian Peter Thomson. The IIb/VII was the entry into the Plinius range of the time. There were a few photos, presumably by a mate of Peters, taken with a fisheye lens.

The Lambert Audio family, in the mid-to-late 1980s. The SP250, the smaller SP225 and the SW120 subwoofer as a coffee table. 

Once upon a time I was out at Garry Lambert's place at Waihi  and heard his 30 (or so, from memory) speaker bass bin, made up of multiple 165mm woofers. It was the best sounding bass PA speaker I'd heard.

The rare Anawhata Audio valve preamp. 

Made, I believe, in Auckland in the early 1980s. And that's all I know about it. Anyone have any info about it?

I own pairs of SP225 (early ones I think, with Peerless tweeters and doped paper woofers) and SP235 (which seem to be like a cross between SP225 and SP250, having a simple rectangular cabinet but two 6.5” drivers - these are later with Lambert tweeters and poly woofers). I also have the Lambert stands for the SP235s which are made from mdf and angle the speakers back slightly. They look great together in my opinion, in their retro way.
