Regards to All, I opened up my tube power supply to see how it was laid out. It is a separate power supply, which uses a transformer, a small power tube (6p1), and a small rectifier tube (6z4). It supplies power to small preamps at either 2.8v or 6.3v. Does the 3rd power pin require grounding for NZ elec requirements? If so, I will get someone to look at it. The sound is good, and no complaints, but I thought I'd better check. Many thanks for your advice

If it's a metal box it should be earthed.

Yes, it should be earthed.

Thanks Guys. Will disconnect and get someone to have a look. Might be as simple as connecting to chassis (under the paint), but I think I'd better get them to have a look at the rest of it and prob ground the base, in case the paint doesn't give a connection between them.
Will see if someone can do it in Hamilton, or its a trip to Auckland.
