RIP Kelly Waterman from Axent Audio. Kelly unexpectedly died in a Rotorua restaurant last night. Axent is the biggest speaker repair business in Auckland, has NZ's only re-gausser and so will be well known to many audio enthusiasts.

What a shock... very sad news indeed. I enjoyed popping in and wondering around looking out for the good stuff and having a good chat with Kelly. RIP Kelly.

Very sad to hear that news. Kelly was so friendly, courteous and unassuming, and his repair work excellent and reasonably priced.

Sad, I once used one if their own designed drivers as open baffle midrange drivers. (many years ago...) Nice to deal with. Simon

I'm sad to hear too. We had several in person meetings and more phone conversations. A friend tested me the next day.
The grapevine must be huge. Funeral Monday 20th March at Davis Funeral Services on Dominion Rd. But I don't know what time.

The funeral was well attended and many folk from customers, to friends, family to suppliers were in attendance. A great send off for a legend of the NZ audio industry. Sleep well Kelly.
