It was a nice contrast to the mainstream UK mags like HI-Fi News, Hi-Fi Choice.

Yeah I have perhaps a half wine box full of those magazines and some supplements, valve amps & speaker building etc.
Ta for the link to the audiophileman... I think. ;=})

Sure. Appreciate it.
(Didn't realise I was still logged in!)
Anyway I went looking for said wine box to see if my guess was accurate. It was! About 1/2 full, rest various other hi-fi and electronics mags, even some Wireless World.
But surprise;- it was still taped up after 8 yrs in storage after move!
Clearly not a priority;-)
Counted 17 Hi-Fi World mags of random months between 1993 - 2000, and 7 supplements.
Decided I must have had money at the time, I'm quite surprised I'd bought them all.
Even though that was early internet and on, bookstores and magazine shops still flourished, could be attractive.

All print media is going to struggle these days. Having aid that a car club I belong to has a local publication that arrives in the mail every couple of months and its always good to have an actual magazine

At one stage (in the David Price Editorial years) it was my favorite magazine as it was quirky as it had some DIY and old stuff before it was fashionable. It published the first ever review of my arms! (in 2011) In later years it has become a bit sad IMHO as it only featured products from a small range of suppliers. I repeatedly offered products for review and got no reply, so not sure what was happening.

Was too! (Nearly mentioned that but I am careful as a manufacturer talking on a forum) I look back 11 years and think the arms were pretty basic in those days, I didn't even have braid over the wire, earthing was a little patchy.. But the essentials are the same

That's the one! You must have an impressive filing system. I've got a copy but that is understandable vanity... Just re read the review, Adam Smith was certainly impressed. (If I suspect charitable about fit and finish..)

I have had his WAD KLS3 for the last ever so many years. I upgraded from the Mark 1 to the Mark 3 version - it is a ridiculously good speaker for the cost. Bought as kit, without wood. I rebuilt it completely when I did the upgrade to mark 3 status.
Lot's of comments around this in the WAD forums mainly on how much money you'd need to spend to get a better speaker. I have a better speaker that JBL L-300 Summit and, yes, it was expensive!

From memory that was a really efficient speaker? (Something I am all in favour of) There was also one with an interesting oval Audax tweeter??

That was the mark II with the gold dome gas tweeter. They turned out to be a problem as they deflated!
