Please excuse me if this sounds silly but seriously, I have an increasingly large ripped backup of all my CD music plus the odd digital album purchased as a hi res 24bit/195k folder of files. The stuff has been convenient indeed for portable personal listening but my player is showing its age (a very aging Neil Young Pono Player)… so it’s time for a replacement… All I’m seeing is other players but the only upper end is a FiiO M17… overkill.
Everything is overloaded & bloated with an OS, internet connection, streaming & the sort of stuff I don’t need.
Surely there’s a simple player with a display that shows the album art embedded in the .flac file maybe with great DAC, can have have expandable memory, or has this stuff just moved on & no one uses these days?
