Something else to worry about whilst eating your Wheatbix - the effect of sanctions (both ways) on the availability of new Russian tubes. www.stereophile.com/content/re-tales-21-much-tube-about-nothing. It is interesting to read that Tung-Sol, Electro-Harmonix, EH Gold, Genalex Gold Lion, Mullard (reissue), Svetlana, and Sovtek tubes are all made in the one factory (Expo-Pul) which is owned by an American, Mike Matthews. Read on to find out whether you should stock up or not - I'm keeping to NOS Mullards - and other interesting tit bits.

Interesting link, thanks. And the spin-off links within.
I remember my parents in the '60s reporting from Consumer Magazine that weetbix nutritional value was about as merely as a vehicle for milk. Nevertheless enjoyed through high school, but given up a year or two later, never ate again since. Maybe the recipe has changed, but I'm not tempted.
I tend to just buy cream for coffee, maybe even tea, and the occasional fruity porridge ... I don't have cake that much. Let them eat cake indeed. Where is mine? ;=})
Cheers!

I feel as if shortages of modern production tubes, is turning into a bit of a loo-roll panic buying saga. Regardless of where they're made, there's always going to be affordable current production tubes of a reasonable quality. If it wasn't for the guitar amp market, then things would be very different. New Sensor, who are owned by Electro Harmonix (EHX), I simply can't imagine going away. If I recall correctly, there was a PSA they put out against folks panic buying tubes. The demand is so large, that I doubt production will be stopped any time soon. Got to say, I found the comment section of that Stereophile post ever so slightly amusing.

Why stop there. KT350 has a certain ring about it.
