Don't know what version it is, there's no documentation or any markings on the unit to indicate .2 status
10-12 hours if you flatten and relax the record.
A standard de-warp cycle is 4~5 hours. First the machine Heats up, then it Anneals, then cools down.
I didn't buy it. Borrowed from the estate of the owner - a hi-fi friend who passed away last year.
His high-end collection of gear and records is still intact. No one's using the stuff so his family let me borrow the AFI.

Go on Michaelw, you know you want one, just buy one and forget about the price. It's a long term purchase and you have heaps of LPs. I can hear it calling your name..

I'd intended to take and upload a video with audio of a cartridge surmounting a hump wave in the vinyl. Compare to a flat version. I have a couple like that. Warped and not warped. Trackability, speed fidelity. Maybe somebody else can beat me to it.

It actually ruined that red Blade Runner ! Flattened but imprinted a pattern on the disc that renders it unplayable..
I did a few other coloured records that came out fine but that particular one - arghhhhhhhhhhh

Gosh thats not good Michaelw, sorry to hear that. I wonder why that happened. Too hot maybe? Crappy vinyl quality ?

10 to 12 hours is a long time unless it's a very low temp.

10-12 only if you de-warp and relax, I only did a single de-warp ~4-5hr/ held at 59 deg C for about 1 hr Pressed at Quality Record Pressing - IMHO a hugely over-rated pressing plant - so probably crappy vinyl.

I can’t see how the economics for this unit works, for an individual / hobbyist owner. Extraordinary pricing.
I do have some great before/after video of the pedestrian “Vinyl Flat” equipment in action. But, then, social media. So. 🙄 Seems to do the same job, for a much more reasonable price?

What's the prob with posting so called social media links to before & after?
But hey, here's a horror story on exactly the same red vinyl Blade Runner soundtrack LP that Michael had ... with Vinyl Flat.
Probably indeed something in the red vinyl composition.
From the first comment:
"This is interesting. I have used the Vinyl Flat and flattened well over 100 records and one of the only two that I ruined was the Blade Runner soundtrack on red vinyl (same one you ruined). I think that there is something in the vinyl formulation in some colored vinyl that requires more caution. The other vinyl I destroyed was Joan Jett's Record Store Day release on translucent pink vinyl."
Stay with carbon black, perhaps ...

I've had a Vinyl Flat now for about 10 years, with a Groovy Pouch (heating pad).
Destroyed a couple of records, but they were extremely warped, and 200 gems. Gradually increased the time until about 24 hours, which still didn't take the warp out but did flatten the grooves. Both gold coloured vinyl.
I now use a lower wattage power supply, to lower the temp for a slower and longer, and safer heat cycle, running the groovy pouch at about 50 degrees, instead of sub 60.

Thanks for the link RDM Orange peel effect is the patterning I got on my BR. I did several coloured records, including a red Ry Cooder Trespass - all came out fine. I've since found another copy of Blade Runner - keeping it away from the AFI !

Replacement Blade Runner finally arrived ! Crushed corners on sleeve, bit wobbly and some noise but overall no worse than my good pre-AFI copy.
The AFI has been returned.
