I've had this beastie for over a month now and simply put it's the best RCM I've used.
It shows up the Nitty Grittys and VPI's for the relics they are, with greater ease of use and improved efficacy of cleaning.
Using the supplied Wash it fluid it does a better job than a friend's KLAudio ultrasonic using their recommendation of distilled water.
Forget about the Humminguru, that's a toy for noobs.
Shoutout to Deano from Rapallo and Interdyn for some great customer service.

Nice look with the alloy case. I'm happy with my earlier version and think the Project fluid does a good job. As well as being an excellent cleaner it removes static. No more pops and crackle.

It's BIG, easily twice the size of my old Nitty Gritty. I like the silver look. A friend was going to buy one too but he wants it in black, I told him to plasti-dip it.

I'm shocked it does a better job than the KL.
I'm sure it does a great job but my experience is that an US clean is a whole step ahead of a vacuum clean.
Are you sure the KL didn't just loosen the dirt for the Project to dislodge? 😄

The KL uses pure distilled water, with no filtering. Plain distilled water just isn't enough to clean records. After a wash cycle, the water will be full of pulverized smutz, some will stick to the record as it drains back into the tank. Some may also be bonded to the record as it gets blown dry. Unless you drain and refill after every record, subsequent records will be washed in dirty water. I've seen the water tank after moderate use and it gets filthy ! Though with an access port it is easy to clean.

Well well well. I'm just as shocked that there's no filtering, and no recommendation to use a surfactant!

Just read the advertising blurb on the Pro-ject and impressed by the speed and only a few rotations required, one in either direction preferred. Bet its quieter than my Double Smart Matrix and it looks quite impressive too! I'm using distilled water and Triton X-100, as recommended by Owen Y. His fridge might still have a bottle in there and maybe Lily or jerm don't know what it is! I know I should put in a filter but its easier for me to just chuck the water and refresh often. I US clean and then dry using the Clear Audio vac machine, despite air drying being a more "pure/clean" method. Vac drying is so much quicker and has the advantage of also sucking off any debris.

1-2 spins to dry is dreaming... More like 3-4 Pro-ject don't disclose the makeup of their fluid other than it's non-alcoholic, it does dry faster than any RCF I've used. Can you still buy Triton X-100 ? I thought it was banned.

from the Triton Wiki...
In December 2012, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) included the substance group “4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenol, ethoxylated” – which includes Triton X-100 – in the Candidate List of substances of very high concern[10] of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation which addresses the production, import and use of chemical substances and their potential impacts on human health and the environment.[11] A Triton X-100 degradation product has indeed turned out to be ecotoxic as it possesses hormone-like (estrogeno-mimetic) activity that may act on wildlife.[12] The ECHA finally included the substance group in the Authorisation List (Annex XIV),[13] mandating the pharmaceutical and other industries to replace this detergent by the “sunset date” January 4, 2021, thereby affecting EU manufacturers, importers, and downstream users, as well as non-European manufacturers exporting their products into the EU.

Yes I bought Triton X locally last year no problem. Citroen is it supposed to be stored in the fridge?

Owen said it was, so I've just followed his lead

Cone to think of it, it may have had something to do with it separating after dilution. Will have to check through the thread.
