Word is out that Ms Williams is going re-record this iconic album(and her best imo). The question has to be asked why. The original is great and her vocals definitely haven't improved since then. I just wish that the original wasn't stock in label/artist hell and we'd get a vinyl pressing. MOV did a great job with car Wheels, maybe they need to kidnap this one as well.

I can't imagine that Lucinda now could repeat Sweet Old World - although I might be open to a new artistic reading of this material.

However, whilst I love the older country-styled Lucinda, I enjoy the new direction exploring her Southern roots, her upbringing & even being adventurous with her (maturing) voice.
