"DAP maker Astell and Kern are no strangers to partnerships with other portable audio gear. From their collaboration with Blue Note‘s 75th Anniversary to the distribution of JH Audio universal fit IEMs. Their latest partnership pushes their reach a little further into new territory – teaming up with the long running Campfire Audio IEM brand for an entirely new IEM called the Solaris X.
The new variant of the 3-way hybrid IEM now offers a new “custom Balanced Armature (BA) driver for high frequency response that was designed specifically for the AK SOLARIS X.”
Solaris X will still be hand assembled in Portland, OR and at launch will only be offered in a limited quantity. Retail price is $1,499 and launch timing is July.
