Gents, (and Gentettes)
I have had a set of LS90's for a couple of years, since about 6 months ago, when the power amp is switched on, the left speaker tweeter emits a mid to high pitched squeal.
the volume of the squeal is relative to the volume of the amp
started only lasting a few mins and then would go away, but now its permanent and un listenable.
initially i thought it might be the amp, but i swapped the channels over and it stayed with the speaker
What i am suspecting, is either the Crossover, or one of its caps has given up the Ghost,
Any idea if there is a kit i can use to rebuild the XO or someone locally who may be able to do so (im in west akl)
I would be doing both speakers at once.
Alternatively anyone got any ideas if i could be barking up the wrong tree here and it might be something else?
Thanks in advance!
