GRADO Labs have released their latest Opus3 model in their wood-bodied Timbre series cartridges.
Priced at US$275 (NZ$469), the Opus3 aims to be GRADO's new performance-for-the-money benchmark.
The Timbre series 'bridges the gap' between their Entry-level & Mid-range cartridges.
- Maple wood body
- Moving Iron design
- High output (4.0mV) or Low output (1.0mV) & Mono versions
- Elliptical stylus
- Aluminium cantilever
- Weight 8 gms
" a cost-effective wooden cartridge while at the same time taking advantage of the techniques and processes used in the higher-end models. "
(See - GRADO Labs)
THE ABSOLUTE SOUND (Neil Gader) reviews the Opus3 Low Output model:
" In its warmer overall signature and rich midrange, this was classic Grado. "
" In my view Opus3 represents a “next-gen” Grado, imparting greater transient attack, low-level detail, speed, and extension at the frequency extremes. "
" From a company known for exceptional performance and value, the Grado Opus3 resets the bar. "
