I forget if this has been mentioned previously... THORENS TD 124 DD
With the new TD 124 DD, Thorens is reviving one of the most legendary turntables in the brand’s history. The original concept of the TD 124 has been massively improved upon, using modern approaches, and now offers an unparalleled playback quality.

Typo from the link:
"Thorens has created the SPU 124 together witclose h Ortofon for the discerning vinyl enthusiast looking for the extraordinary."
Mind you I see typos often in library books, from self published plastic paperbacks to quality hardbacks from reputable publishers.

So old-fashioned looking that ignorant siblings or relatives might even junk it if you died intestate! ;=})
No, it's really beautiful! Interesting old-fashioned headshell throwback. Like others.

Looks lovely. A bit of a shame these retro-style turntables have been made so expensive, but still less than buying a new SME Garrard 301!

4 x knurled knobs around the baseplate are for levelling the TT, I believe. (On the 124 DD, I'm guessing that the other dial-knob near the strobe is for pitch / speed control.)

Maybe it's the "colourway" but I have to say it looks a bit Crosley to me "Flight case optional" - it's a portable!

I think I have to agree with Dom. It looks a bit tacky in the photo. I'll see if Paul Money Mount Eden have one for me to see in the flesh and to take home for an audition!
