They had quite a good reputation back in the day, apparently you can still get parts for them. You are not mounting the ML on it ?

That plinth should touch up easily enough with a bit of black paint. Try contacting a local plastic company to see if they can make you a new dustcover. Let me know if you get stuck as ive got a really good guy here in Nelson.

One of these was my first turntable. I still have it. It's now in a cupboard. It did sterling service until I got an LP12. It could use a new belt too I'm sure.

Tried editing that last post. I don't have a second system though I could put one together with all the spare bits of gear tucked away. It might make an interesting thread about the stuff we have left over from upgrades to our main systems that we haven't gotten rid of.

Sorry Linnboy, but I can't really see the point of setting up an inferior sounding system, even if I did have the room 🤷♂️

Sorry Linnboy, but I can't really see the point of setting up an inferior sounding system, even if I did have the room 🤷♂️ My lounge system is pretty much where I want it. A full Linn active system with LP12. However, bedroom and office systems are incredible sources of upgrade and experiment joy. As I say, audioholic.

Unfortunately management vetoed the idea of setting up another system in the spare bedroom, so have now largely offloaded most of my spare bits, only leaving enough spares in case of component failure somewhere along the line. Running old gear has taught me that its always a good idea to have a spare amp turntable and speakers about.

I use that excuse all the time! Got to have a spare (or two) just in case the spare breaks down as well.

Yep, Old gear is pretty reliable until it isnt. Then it can drive you insane and make you think about sonus and streaming.
