SONY have this week announced the SONY Alpha 7C, the world's smallest, lightest full-frame interchangeable lens camera (cameras with in-body image stabilisation).
Actually that refers really to the body only, as the full-frame optical geometry still requires the lens optics to be a certain distance from the sensor plane. Can't be avoided, so the lenses are still chunky.
However, the SONY A7C is also 'mirrorless' & has an electronic (not optical) viewfinder, which allows the body to be super-compact.
Due for release on 29 Oct - US$1799 / NZ$3700, body only.
With 28-60mm F4-5.6 kit zoom lens, - US$2099.
Compact full-frame, SONY's recognised excellent Autofocus are attractive & fits all Alpha lenses, but...
There are some compromises (viewfinder size, video res), see - DP Review (15 Sept '20)
