" October 2nd of each year has officially been set aside as a special day for those of us that love music and revel in the beauty of it played in our homes.
I would encourage each and every one of you that identifies as an audiophile to crank up your system and put on your favourite track.
Terri and I will celebrate Audiophile Day over dinner..., clinking glasses and toasting to all of those who love what we so treasure. The art of reproduced music.
We are family. Each and every one of you reading this message knows what I mean. We’ve invested our time, energy, resources, and spirits into this great endeavour we call audio. " - Paul McGowan, PS AUDIO (2 Oct 2019)

So what did you do as an audiophile today?
I thought about putting some Herbie's gliders under my turntable but didn't have the energy to lift it. I looked at the rats nest behind my equipment and as advised left it jumbled to create a Faraday cage. But took the plunge to remove a few loose ends, and found quite a few cables leading to no where, an old Creative Labs audio convertor, and a forgotten mini NUC!
Played a few "audiophile" records, including the 45RPM "A Meeting By the River", and Duke Ellington's mono Masterpiece.
And managed a few non-audiophile favourites such as Nirvana's Unplugged In New York.

i spent a lot of the day looking for stuff that i thought i had but either didn't or mis-filed it somewhere...
listened to some audiophile recordings that didn't sound that great.

Sanding and priming wooden window frames. The sound of the electric sander was as close as I got to music.
