In 2016, TECHNICS introduced a SL-1200GAE 50th Anniversary Limited Edition turntable.
Now, a SL-1210GAE 55th Anniversary Limited Edition turntable, with only 1000 units to be available worldwide (700 to Europe). Due on sale in June, priced at US$4000, £3999 (€4499? €4719? TBC).
- All black colour scheme, top panel anodized black brushed finish.
- Fitted with a Nagaoka JT-1210, jointly-designed & tuned MM cartridge with boron cantilever (Nagaoka are also celebrating 80 years of cartridge production).
- Die cast feet with Taica Corporation αGEL™ isolation feet (borrowed from the SL-1000R)
- Made in Japan with inscribed unique serial number.
- Strobe light can be turned off.
- Case included.
- Core-less (no iron) motor, high-precision motor control based on Blu-ray player tech, lightweight magnesium tonearm, high-quality phono connectors (all as SL-1200G).
- 3-layer platter with the a brass-top plate, heavy aluminium die cast core platter, 4-layer top plate (all as SL-1200G).
