a superb doco on one of the design heroes of the 20th century has just popped up this one is a little different as it was a bbc commission, narrated by welsh architech jonathan adams owen has probably seen this but for casual followers of FLW, this is well worth a watch i'd love to do a state-side tour of his famous buildings

Finally I got around to checking this out... Being a student of architecture, we were 'raised' on the work of FLW back in the day, but this 2017 BBC doco I had not seen. I can say that it is excellent - not only an outline of the span of his work, his philosophies, but also his colourful (& at one time tragic) family life. I didn't know that the Ennis House was used in Blade Runner Nor have I seen detailed footage of the interior of the early Unity Temple in Chicago (& nice comments by the church minister). 'Falling Water' deservedly gets special coverage, but no mention of the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo (demolished). Some coverage of his many un-built designs, some quite 'fantastic' & showing his drawing, rendering skills, would have been exciting.
