I've just seen the first advertising on TV of the Salvation Army's NZ music project "Offering". Musically, this is a set of various well-known 'gospel orientated' (for want of another word) pieces of music performed by New Zealand's top singers and musicians. What caught me was that the audio recordings appear to have been very carefully engineered, (the technical folk involved need to be recognized for their part in all the work) as too the artists who have poured the hearts and souls into each piece they created for the album... The videos give you some of the background.
While not my go to kind of music the sheer quality of performance is there so it's a no-brainer to add a proper copy to one's collection but oh dear... (there's always one isn't there?).... No HD direct downloadable (after purchase) of the album files for what i can see, only the option to take Apple's convoluted process for their kind of digital result.... :-( ...
Of course it's early days so maybe someone will do something once we're in a better post COVID status. I know for sure i'd be only to happy to pay a premium if i could buy a proper hidef version (FLAC etc) of the album.
