If you want to stream, but do not have a streamer-capable 'super-integrated' amplifier, or active, streamer-capable loudspeakers.... The BLUESOUND Node 2i device is a " Wireless Multi-Room Hi-Res Music Streamer ". John DARKO's review: And DARKO's further expanded thoughts here.

The BLUESOUND Node 2i device is a " Wireless Multi-Room Hi-Res Music Streamer ". ie. A streamer + 60wpc (NAD) ‘HybridDigital' amp - with DAC, digital & phono inputs. Note, the Powernode 2i is a different beast to the Node2i mentioned above. The Powernode has the amp included.

Here's a link to the Powernode 2i that Darko talks about www.bluesound.com/products-archive/powernode-2i/I have an earlier generation Vault 2 (no i, and no amp, essentially a Node 2 with internal hard drive). Its a great little product that rips CDs, streams Tidal Spotify, Internet radio etc, network attached/wireless connection capable, bluetooth (but not Bluetooth out). If I had my time over again, I'd get a Node 2i as it has a headphone socket, also streams to Bluetooth headphones, and built in WiFi.

10 more thoughts on the Bluesound Powernode 2i(DARKO Audio - Feb 2020) " Powernode 2i, essentially a Node 2i BluOS streamer with added 60wpc ‘HybridDigital™’ loudspeaker amplification borrowed from sister brand NAD
Setting up the Powernode 2i, like the Node 2i, is a 5-minute, Dad-proof procedure...
To my pleasant surprise, FLAC files streamed.... rendered by the BluOS and Powernode 2i two-fer without gaps artificially inserted between tracks. "
