super deluxe etc reissue of Gene Clark's 70's classic, No Other. Been a big fan of this since discovering it a decade or more ago and despite having an almost mint US original lp and a more recent 2cd reissue I just had to break 3 months of cold turkey and pre order this. www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/gene-clark-no-other-deluxe-box-set/

Gene Clark was great, not such a fan of "No Other", much prefer "with the Gosdin Brothers" myself. A recent fav of his is the lost studio sessions LP.

After being shagged about by Amazon UK with my order it's finally on its way. More excited about getting this than I have been for any release for a long time and since it's definitely my last big box set I hope it lives up to expectations.

Really happy I opted for the big box, lovely presentation and for once all the alt takes are well worth it, presenting the record in quite a different light without all the extras that were tagged onto the original. Going whole hog I also got the 2cd version for the bedroom and disc two is all various session material, complete songs that maybe would have been more palatable in the singer songwriter era of the 1970s. www.discogs.com/Gene-Clark-No-Other--No-Other-Sessions-I/release/14379991

Somewhere along the line last century i picked up a white label promo of this.
Could never understand why why more people hadn't heard of it. A classic in my book
