worse content, sound or both, let me open with bruce springsteen live 1975-85 box set. most of the boss's studio albums sound mediocre at best but his 4 lp box is bad enough to drive you to cd's or worse. digital masters from analog and digital sources, these tracks are dimensionally flat, transistory and just painful to listen to. 1/10

Well, if that's the worst album in your collection...I'll be damned!
I have this set CBS – S5BP704 and its perfectly fine sounding, albeit a bit thin sounding. Saw a copy for sale today in a secondhand shop for $45.

Tunnel of Love, sounds excellent, as I recall, actually it was one of my go-to demo records - I will check tonight if my memory has finally gone west Nebraska? - my copy, not so much, again from memory.

with a few exceptions...
eg.
steely dan greatest hits
paul simon negotiations and lovesongs - tracks were hand compiled from analogue tape by roy halee
springsteens geatest hits - most of the GH cuts sound better than the originals

I could name a MoFi LP, but that maybe should be in the Worst Value For Money awards

more sonic stinkbombs... every joni mitchell album after wild things run fast. in particular chalk mark in a rainstorm. warning this record has such toxic highs you'd best be advised to wear hearing protection before listening ! prime example of why singers shouldn't self produce, especially with their spouses.

I have some stinkers too. While all my vinyl is in temporary storage, I can easily nominate the worst: I have a NZ Polydor 1971 copy (as pictured), purchased on its original release. Unfortunately it's worse for wear, so I sprung for a reissue - $45 from memory. I recollect the reissue is an Italian pressing. From Discogs info. it must be the Earmark version...indeed an absolute overflowing bucket of aural horseshite. Meant to return it, but circumstances/travel prevented this
