As-new beech plinth and perspex lid to suit Garrard 301 with SME arm cutout. Ready to use at $350 complete and that's well below cost. You can leave as-is or stain, paint, veneer, whatever.
For sale due to changing requirements, expertly hand-crafted by Mr. Doggett of this parish. If you need it adapting for other arms, you could speak nicely to Graham.
A few tiny marks on the plinth but only if you're picky enough to really search for them. The lid also has nifty finger cut-outs along the sides so you can lift it off safely.
Happy to ship from Auckland but it weighs around 20kg so your call.

No, not really, just more of the same but built for two arms. I could help you change direction with this, though?

Two arms on a deck is way cool and very useful. Though I find in practice that the rear mounted one is used a whole lot less.

Agree. My rear mounted arm gets very little use cf my front mounted one.
I would possibly even use a left mounted arm more than a rear mounted one but I can't as the motor is in the way.
For some reason the second arm is usually placed at the rear, and not on the left hand side. Anyone know why?

ergonomics.
much trickier to cue a left mounted arm.
especially if you are right handed.

Nah, all you have to do I reckon is put the finger lift on the right hand side... And besides 10% are left handed, so why aren't 10% of the arms LH mounted!

Perhaps put the whole TT on a lazy susan and rotate it through 90 degrees when using the rearmost arm? 😳

Dom and I are so taken by the radiused corner look of his new plinth that his old one has been given the same treatment. The bottom layer has also been cut back by 25mm all around to further the slimming effect. Jenny Craig would be impressed. Any 301 owners who have their pride and joy sitting on an uninspiring lump of wood should give Dom a call !!!! No I am not on commission.
