Sony TV uses the screen as the speaker diaphragm to make a simple 2.2 setup.

Good idea, it was only a matter of time before a manufacturer would use the vast size of the screen to augment sound, and use as a well located centre channel. Love the face at the end of the video, why simply smile automatically when you can make faces instead? 😶

interesting video. sony has been using the screen as speaker for 2 generations now, although i don't think you could use the screen as a center speaker in the last AF gen ?
i've heard the F and it sounded very good for built in speakers but not as good as quality separate speakers.
i suspect the real reason for using the screen as transducer is aesthetics, previous sonys had discrete speakers but possibly not discrete enough for the lifestyle stylists that plague home entertainment.
factory calman calibration is a plus but renders netflix mode a gimmick ?
