This is a 'modular' design, with Class-D amplification (150wpc weighing only 11kg for the amp-only I35), which can be configured as an 'all-analogue' amp-only, or with/without a DAC (AKM) and/or a 'Prisma' module for multi-room wired/wireless playback ofr stored or streamed media, with Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, AirPlay & Chromecast. Alan Sircom, Hi-Fi+ 27 Nov 2018: " ... sheer musical enjoyment quotient that is so hard to pin down. Tonally, the I35 is rich and satisfying rather than bright and breezy, and yet it comes over as both energetic and dynamic sounding....the Primare I35 just does it all so well, it makes me question the need to spend more. " (£3,200, the I35 integrated amplifier-only version)

Class-D comes of age??... Neil Gader The Absolute Sound, 27 June 2019: "... the I35, as it largely ameliorated the clichés that dogged early Class D. In fact, the I35 easily upstaged the Primare I20, the excellent 70Wpc integrated I reviewed way back in Issue 143 — a Class AB design. " US$3,995 I35 (intergated amp-only model) US$4,495 I35 DAC (amp-DAC model) US$4,995 I35 Prisma (amp-DAC-Prisma multi-room connectivity & streamer model)
